That weight you're feeling, the dragging of feet and the labouring of sighs, is courtesy of Saturn stationing to turn retrograde tomorrow. As part of the Capricorn dancing that is reframing us to fit our 2020 vision, first Pluto and now Saturn back their respective trucks up for the better part of the year.

Unless you have been trapped under a small planet sized rock, it could not have escaped your attention that Uncle Pluto has just turned retrograde. Next week he is joined by his partner in Capricorn crime Saturn as he also backs the truck up. Each offers us yet another opportunity to stop dicking around when it comes to our shadow, unarguably the greatest work of our life.

As the cosmic choreography continues unabated this week, we yet have a little firedancing on our plate. Today our lady Venus spends some quality time with our master revealer Chiron and feels the flames of Aries crucible licking.

If last week was transformation by fire and the glare of the full moon, this week expect the lightning to strike. In a few hours and throbbing away for the rest of the week, Urania and the sun meet in Taurus for the first time since the 1940s and the crackle is palpable.

As the full moon still ripples post peak there is yet more change afoot and no time to bleat. We have now farewelled the twisted firestarter with a weird Neptunian chaser that was Aries season. The sun has moved mansions into Taurus overnight, dragging Venus over the border into Aries as he goes.

Tonight's blue moon is the ultimate late night double feature, coming at us with a leer and a smile. Beware of her power to unsettle, her strange light blazing into the shadows and outing us all.

Heading into our four day festival of religious observation (read: chocolate and public holidays) I hope you have left room in your suitcase for the high end lady armour this weekend demands. Yes, the set with ears please, Mr Galliano. It has already begun and it is tetchy out there darklings.

Grab your megaphones darklings and prepare to shout that fog down when Mercury fairly blasts into Aries today. He spends his remaining hours in Pisces extricating himself from the last shadowy vestiges of his surreal retrograde through Crazytown / Neptunia.

The transformation by fire I wrote about yesterday always arrives uninvited. Accompanied by white faced shock and a wailing grief that seems to snuff the flames right out. We are left with ashes, shards of memory and regret, a profound sense of loss.

I woke this morning to the sacred heart of Paris burning as 850 years of history and revolution, resilience and endurance was claimed by the fire that is mercilessly transforming our world.

This week's square dancing has certainly kept us on our toes. With every change in the music we have had to pivot or scramble by degrees, pushed towards the constraints. The tune momentarily discordant, the steps unfamiliar.

If the treasure hunt isn't floating your boat just yet* or the sun squaring Saturn has ratcheted up the pressure just a tad too much**, dreamy escapism and epic delusion are also on offer while Venus and Neptune cuddle up together in Pisces.
In fact all of these aspects are in play all at once this week, a veritable smorgasbord of celestial morsels for us to nibble on. Gulp, gorge or gurgle, as the case may be.

In the midst of all this square dancing we are being called to a quest, a treasure hunt larger and more vital than any we have undertaken before. Today Jupiter turns his face to the ground he has already claimed and begins his retrograde.

In the 1920s Dr Dolittle introduced us to the fantastically perplexing creature, the lesser known Pushmi Pullyu. It boasted two heads at each end of its body, each with a mind of its own. Its remarkable form was built on both magic AND on the coordination and cooperation of opposites, requiring one part of the creature to be moving backwards in order for it to get anywhere.

Welcome one, welcome all to this rollicking new week. The cosmic choreography will keep us square dancing as most days this week the caller's voice constantly crackles over the celestial microphone.

The new moon in Aries is always our begin again. Being the start point of the zodiac (and thus too the finish line of the preceding cycle) confers this place with a sense of investiture. Here once more we are initiated.
