Venus and Chiron On Fire

As the cosmic choreography continues unabated this week, we yet have a little firedancing on our plate. Today our lady Venus spends some quality time with our master revealer Chiron and feels the flames of Aries crucible licking.

Chiron's move from Pisces to Aries has too morphed the lens through which we view our sore spots, the tender and the shadow. No longer bleeding brooches affixed to our lapels or wound around our throats, we are seeking transmutation by fire. Into the cauldron they go as Chiron tosses in his medicine herbs and asks us to breathe in the smoke.

Venus sitting at his feet and too his fire takes time to quell her agitation. She trades it for visions of a future that does not ache and sacrifices the lies of the tribe to the flames. Her hummingbird heart leaps in tandem as the smoke encircles her, breathing new life into all that she loves.

Under Chiron's wise counsel she takes her heart in her hands and examines it like a doctor, looking for anything that stymies its ardent beating. She pulls the thorns, ignoring their origins and stories and tosses them unregarded into the flames. Her focus only on her own heart is a tender triage, the soothing balm of her witness and her care.

All our bleeding hearts crave this day. The one where we finally ask our own heart where it hurts. Where we listen to the whispered reply and do not reshape the words. Where we offer our clumsy ministrations as the best medicine they are and we finally gently sweetly salve our pacemaker.

Venus is enchanted by her healing and the way the flickering flames cast a new light over the path ahead. Chiron's gentle teaching offers the highest reward, a far better pin for our lapel. Today has much to reveal to those willing to sit by Chiron's fire and be schooled in his most holy ancient arts.

The wound is the place where the light enters you.
