Scorped at the Peak

Art by Raymond Swanland

Depth charge anyone? Tis nearly time to dance with your darkness in the pale moonlight, if you have not already been occupying the shadowlands as a lifestyle of late. The incoming Scorpio full moon is built on ruthless regeneration provided you can live and let die.

Intuitively we already know what has to go. Our life is built on these many little deaths and new beginnings but it is our courage now that determines what comes next. The path to rebirth is always through the valley of death with side trips to Old Wound City. Here we find much of our deep seeded weeds, repressed and out of control. Our shadow is the nerve centre that runs our life from behind the curtain, all too often abandoned for our obscuring light.

Pluto's starring role in this lunation combined with his constant agitation and unholy methods of getting results - chaos and destruction with transformation for dessert - tends to look like a massacre until it doesn't. Stay the course. This peak demands we examine the deep psych motives that determine and structure our behaviour and they all lie tucked within our shadow. This internal process shines a black light on our personal power: how we have it and keep it, how we wield it and use it, how we throw it around or give it away. Think hard. Adjust as required.

Well starred for ritual to relinquish and combined with the powerful sabbat of Samhain / Beltane, use your magic to make space for what you cannot see or feel. Yet. The only way is to clear the decks. We may be masters and mistresses of our own little boats but this dark night move over, for the reaper is your gondolier.

The only trust required is to know that when there is one ending there will be another beginning
