These beauties came home with me last night after a delicious full mooner, direct from the altar. Honouring the Virgo moon I chose to focus meditation on the shadow side of this energy that can often wallop us by fuelling our inner critic. This in-house naysayer, whose oxygen is criticism and whose routine belittlement serves only to lower our head, tries to keep us safe by keeping us small.

The full moon in Virgo is nearly here and you can feel her blazing gaze building, as we simultaneously try to balance the energies at play. Life is feeling like a cocktail of Crazytown and high magic with a chaser of agitation and a twist of intrigue.

Personally I prefer to give the significant bullshit attached to this day in the modern world the bird and focus instead on honouring my she-wolf and showering her with the love and affection afforded to me to bestow. By the time our stomach sinks we know it is truth and our mind madly scrambles to find a way around it. There is none. If something in your life is toxic and you know it deep down in your marrow, it is time to let it go. And the dark moon is the perfect time to do it, adding Lady Luna’s gentle breath out to your own deep sigh of recognition.

I find myself caught between worlds as my life transitions on new wings. Between my love of the quiet country life and the fresh excitement of the big busy city. Between solid old friends and the shiny new people I am crossing paths with daily now. Between my old familiar routine and the strange new path unfurling in front of my wide eyes.

A collection of natural treasures found this weekend in the forest. Big magic was made by truly wonderful friend of friends tucked under giant pine trees and surrounded by ferns. There is no greater ritual space than the wild unknown.
