All Chained Up
Tipping points like this are ripe for transformation and solid change that sticks. As the equinox approaches, so too a rare moment of balance and equality in a see-sawing world.
Raising A Paw
We make our way through the far end of the zodiac as if underwater. The afterglow of eclipse and the undertow of retrograde combine as an odd surrealism permeates the landscape.
Urania vs Pluto in Dystopia
The next day or so represents the final slam of a series of direct astrological hits between Pluto (why hello chaos and destruction) and Uranus (agent of lightning change) whose sole purpose has been a tilt shift of epic proportions. Since the middle of 2012 we have been running at speed at this wall (or hurled by the hand of our own personal Jesus).
Altars of Desire
Last night's altar created to honour and harness the energies of the full moon this morning in Virgo.
Luna in Leo
Lady Luna strutted into Leo yesterday and remains here, hand on hip and fabulous hair blowing in the breeze of her own wind machine until the moon full in Virgo beckons late tomorrow eve.
Taurus Mooning
If your get up and go feels like it got up and went, you have the deliciously sensual Taurus moon to thank.
Mercury Rest-rograde
We are in the final throws of Mercury retrograde, with the messenger planet just about to station before he shunts forwards again at the end of this week. This is the period where everyone breathes a sigh of relief with the end in plain-ish sight but do not be fooled just yet, Bohemians. The stationing point of the retrograde is where the greatest snafus are possible, probable even.
The Mulberry Moon
On mulberries, Milton and the very best Aquarian spell that ever I weaved for my writing. She’s growing beautifully, darklings.
Samhain
Pagan tradition tends to pull from the Northern hemisphere but for us based on the other side of the globe, we follow the movement of the seasons and the wheel of the year as it applies to us. Samhain falls after the Autumn Equinox and before the Winter Solstice, traditionally marking the end of harvest and the descent into deep, dark Winter.
Make An Eclipse Wish
Eclipses are not just singular, they are a season of change with a distinct beginning and an often all too clear end point that resonates, sometimes for months to come. Our lunar eclipse only two weeks ago was the fabled blood moon. This was an appropriately storm swept kick-off in my part of the world and heralded the start of a period of immense shifts.
This Wild Long Weekend In The Holy Land
If you thought this craaaazy eclipse energy was now going to settle nicely in time for your sunny long weekend, may I suggest you take a seat for a moment and pour yourself a cup of something strong. Probably not too early for shots, it’s always 5 o’clock somewhere. We are in the period between eclipses now, which can be a little like the spin cycle on your washing machine.
The Opposition of Mars
Tomorrow night is the opposition of Mars, a celestial event that happens every two or so years when the red planet lines up with the sun and we on planet Earth are sandwiched in between.
Mars Making His Presence Felt
What does this mean to us here on Earth? Mars is the masculine planet of action that rules both Aries and Scorpio. Mars can symbolise passion, drive, ambition, competition and war. Fiery, full blooded energy is the red planet's natural state. In ancient times, Mars was said to rule our sexuality and sexual energy and governs weapons, accidents and surgery. Currently Mars is retrograde which in astrology basically means don't start a fight and be wary of your enemies. Disregard any or all of the above at your own peril.
