Unplanned
When I think about the twists and turns my life has taken thus far it occurs to me that the very best of it has come as a bolt from the blue, a random tangent through happenstance or circumstance forcing a giant deviation from The Plan.
Oh that stupid plan, a hypothetical whose parameters are fluid and boundaries are assumed; which rarely factors in magic or outside possibility; a beast who can never be fully formed or known or held static. Planning is due diligence that we are indoctrinated to believe is the safest path. We are herded along well travelled paths to uninspired goals held up as bastions of achievement and markers of success.
In truth what guides us through our lives are the tangents. All that good stuff that wasn't predetermined or mapped out but led us on the grandest of adventures. Under retrograde skies deviation is de rigeur as we submit - willingly or kicking and screaming - to the deep truth revealed to us via the detours. Look for their hidden gems and as you veer off the beaten track, don't forget to take a good long look around, just in case it turns out that you may finally bloom where you have been so neatly planted.
Life is what happens while you're busy making other plans
