Strange Magic
This week is utterly magic though what that looks like and how that manifests is up to you. Magic is neutral until you add intention, charge and reception. The shockwaves common to it can evoke or electrocute, largely dependent over the next few days on whether you have already boarded the revolutionary train to The Future.
The sun in Taurus' elysian fields today crosses paths with Merc's retrograde, their cazimi a rebirthing of perception. Trust its somatics. Your next revelation may well arrive with a sonic boom or a blast of lightning. At eclipse ground zero this wild season demands we cultivate the kind of change that moves us from rabid consumption to sustainability, from resource gorging to soulful sustenance, from faux inhabitation to authenticity.
Meanwhile in the underworld Pluto turns leading this week's descent into the underworld of motive and power. Captain Chaos gone rogue and retrograde is a card carrying invitation into our shadowlands, if you weren't already crossing the river. This is an internal hunt for power, a wrestle with the illusion of control and reconciliation of the past conditioning that has landed us here.
As the next turn of the wheel begins to creep, in my neck of the woods the call to descend through Samhain's gate cannot be left unanswered. In the north about to crest Beltane's horizon afresh, Spring's call is broadcast through crackling speakers. There will be much in the Coven Electric this week to midwife this wyrd transition.
Underpinning it all are strange currents, magnifying extinction and expiry dates as we ratchet towards the Scorp peak. What you still resist, deny or refuse to see casts binding spells over you that this lunar eclipse will not take kindly to. You hold the power to rattle your cage door open and break those chains. Don't fear the freedom on the far side of the gate. The new world waits there for you when you conjure the courage to leave the old behind. Dig deep.
