In Your Element
In ritual, in magic and in life we talk a lot about the elements. They are a first principle, a building block from which greater things are comprised. This is true too in fields as diverse as mathematics and language, chemistry and geometry, electricity and astronomy and digital technology. Humans have learned over aeons that you start with the basics and build from there. Our elemental foundation is telling. It shapes our perception, furnishes us with steps and blinkers and sets our trajectory. At its core, it becomes the central point on which we pivot. It is our anchor and our albatross alike. Our relationship to it and acceptance of it - no matter how far we may have shifted through our lives - either gives us wings or leaden boots. This is me in my element. Surrounded by powerful women, which is a place I am fortunate to have come from. It feels like home to me. Playing with leaves and sticks, as much of it in my hair as on the table. Grinning like a loon despite the strawberry seeds in my teeth. Literally covered in flowers and constantly deep in conversation.
Last weekend I was privileged to provide a space for women to dive deeply into the exploration of their elements. The place they came from and the one they are stepping purposefully towards. To offer them an opportunity to find themselves in their element, in every sense. If any of the retreat spam has tickled you, I will be doing it all over again in November. Details are under the Retreat tab.Until then, I will be resuming normal programming with stars in my eyes, the planets whirling through my head and a magic bag full of workshops, cards and consults.Just as soon as this beaming airy fairy Aquarian gets her feet back on the ground...
