Mars Retro Theory

I have a theory about this particular Mars retrograde darklings, something for us to keep uppermost and stare down until September. And it is all about our relationship to anger and its more hardcore cousin, rage.

For too long these fiery emotions – that we all feel in varying degrees – have been demonised. Relegated to euphemism or the domain of the deranged. Our darkest feelings scare us with their power and resistance to our control, their wildness and the perverse exhilaration that comes when we submit to their galvanising force.

Any Mars rx will poke and prod our patience and desire, but it is our anger that is most likely to be set off. Anything traversing Aquaria will rebel and be forced to think beyond regular programming. What if the grander purpose of Mars’ unholy retrograde is to use the beat of this different drum to march you through your relationship to anger? To dive deep into your own shadow to revise and reform how anger operates through you. To reacquaint yourself with its raison d’etre and force for change.

Instead of anger devouring your entrails as it decimates your life and those in it, what if we each learn how to properly control and channel its significant firepower? First must we master our mad skills before we unleash them on an unsuspecting world.

Anger shows us where our boundaries have been challenged, breached or obliterated. Well may we rage against their crossing and desire to fight for their upholding. In even greater voice and collective force for those who cannot.

We must become the prophets of our rage. This sorry world needs us each to get angry enough to change the shit that prevents or precludes the love revolution in progress. The one with the potential to sustainably shunt us forward, that will spawn an inclusive and fair new world.

Well directed anger is the architect of change. Knowledge is power. Understanding the how and why of your anger and then being able to channel it to make a difference is a fuqing superpower.

If we are to fight the good fight then we must first taste the flames that rise from within us. Time to intimately know and learn how to consciously control your anger, brought to you by Uncle Mars. School’s in from now.

“Anybody can become angry – that is easy, but to be angry with the right person and to the right degree and at the right time and for the right purpose, and in the right way – that is not within everybody’s power and is not easy.”
